Mother Nature never gives you the same weather patterns or the same growing seasons, so the wine from the same estate will be different from year to year. Then you will more than likely blend each vintage differently giving each one a unique taste and flavor. The near-perfect 2016 growing season started early, saw ideal weather conditions throughout and wrapped up as the valley's first significant fall rainstorm arrived on October 14. Thanks to a relatively steady and mild July and August and then a series of warm days at the end of the growing season, vineyards were able to progress to perfect ripeness. We hope you're excited to try the 2016 Cobalt Wine, we have an outstanding vintage. It comes to you ready to enjoy because of the extra aging process. We age 28 months in French Oak barrels and one year in the bottles before shipping to you. |
