We have just finished bottling our 2011 Cobalt Wine and we are eagerly awaiting our 2013 harvest. It is during this time every year I am reminded of the delicate balance between our farming effort and Mother Nature, which each year will define our terroir and our wine. What a joy it has been for me to experience eight consecutive harvests and watch Steve Sherwin and his fine team, mother the grapes through the best and worst that Mother Nature has to offer. Over the years that we have been making Cobalt Cabernet Sauvignon, I have learned each vintage is different with its own personality. It is the evolution of that personality over time that continues to lure you back to your favorite wine.
Our 2010 Vintage has been resting in the bottle for the past year and is now ready for you to enjoy. Our wine is made at Sherwin Family Vineyards and here is what they say about our wine. “The 2010 Vintage displays the deep lush characteristics of Mountain Cabernet. The aromas and flavors build effortlessly to a round, explosive finish infused with the essence of dark fruit, cassis, cedar, and hints of smoked meat on the palate. Lingering notes of violet and dark chocolate coupled with a round and full mouth feel lead to a long, elegant finish.” I hope you enjoy our new release and be sure to order some past vintages to restock your wine cellar.
Cheers and Thanks,
Pack St. Clair
